This is a house in a quiet residential area of Tokyo. The exterior is a composition of exposed concrete and accent paint color that playfully engages the geometric wood sash window design, allowing visual connection of the composition from the inside as well. Three levels of outdoor terraces connect with the interior to make playful spaces, additionally light wells allow connection form the children’s rooms to the living room below. By creating connections between inside and outside, and between upstairs and downstairs, the house facilitates communication among the family members to make a lively home.

都内の閑静な住宅地にある住宅です。
外装は打放しコンクリートとアクセントカラーを配した幾何学的な木製サッシュを組み合わせ、内装もそれらの要素が連続する構成としています。また外部テラスを３層にわたって設け、内部と外部が回遊性を持ってつながるようにし、更に上階の子供部屋が吹抜けを介してリビングとつながるようにしています。
内部と外部、上階と下階がつながるようにすることで、家族全体のコミュニケーションが円滑になり、活気があふれるような住宅となることを意図しています。
