This is an interior design of an urban high-rise apartment residence in Mumbai, India. Based on the strong tradition in Japanese houses of using space efficiently, storage closets, tables, and chairs are designed in with a unified theme of box-like frames. Using two types of African wood, Sapelli and Wenji, their arrangement with the soft tones of the Italian marble floor creates a harmonious overall color scheme. The result is a very functional and ample storage spaces, allowing for a refined, simple living space.

インド・ムンバイ市の高層マンション住戸のインテリアです。
日本の住宅に特徴的なムダの無い収納スペースのアイデアを生かしながら、収納家具やイス、テーブル等を箱状のフレームでデザインしています。またアフリカ産のセペリと落ち着きのあるウエンジという２種類の木材を使用し、柔らかな色調のイタリア産大理石を床材とすることで、全体の調和がとれた配色としています。このようにして、落ち着きのあるシンプル・デザインで統一しながら、十分な収納スペースが確保できる住宅にしました。
